Born and raised in New York City, Mr. Cilmi has provided legal counsel to a diverse group of institutional and private lenders as well as real estate owners, developers, contractors and project professionals for the past 20 years.

Since the early 1990s, Mr. Cilmi has created a unique and specialized practice in business formation and organization focusing on exploring and utilizing the assorted legal and financial advantages of limited liability, partnership and corporate entities under New York law.

His previous experience, initiative and work history at a prestigious real estate firm in downtown Manhattan provided Mr. Cilmi with the platform and expertise from which to launch Cilmi & Associates in 1997.
